How to get more roofing leads.

Five systems that actually book jobs — not just fill your CRM with tire-kickers.

Most roofing companies don't have a lead problem. They have a conversion problem. You're buying leads that get shared with 3–5 competitors, your follow-up is slow, and your best past customers never hear from you again. Here are the five systems that consistently move the needle — in the order we'd build them.

1. Kill shared leads. Buy or build exclusive.

HomeAdvisor, Angi, Networx — every lead you buy from them is sold to multiple roofers. Even if your team is great, you're competing against 4 other quotes before you even call. Exclusive leads (from your own Google Ads, Facebook, or SEO) cost more per lead but convert 3–5× higher. The math almost always favors exclusive.

2. Respond in under 5 minutes — 24/7.

Harvard Business Review found companies that respond in under 5 minutes are 100× more likely to convert the lead than those responding after 30 minutes. If your team can't do that after hours, use an AI dispatcher that answers, qualifies, and books the inspection while the homeowner is still on your site.

3. Run storm-response ads on autopilot.

When hail or wind hits your service area, demand spikes for 3–7 days. If your ads only spin up after you notice the storm, you've already lost the first wave to door-knockers. Automated storm-triggered campaigns — geo-targeted the moment NOAA data confirms damage — put your name in front of homeowners before your competitors know a storm hit.

4. Fix your insurance follow-up.

30–40% of approved insurance jobs never get installed because the follow-up dies somewhere between the adjuster and the homeowner. Automate the entire pipeline: supplements, depreciation nudges, scope-change reminders, and homeowner check-ins. Even a 10% recovery here is usually more revenue than a month of ads.

5. Reactivate every past customer.

Every roof you've ever touched is a source of future repairs, gutter work, and referrals. A quarterly reactivation sequence — with helpful maintenance content, seasonal offers, and referral prompts — costs almost nothing and consistently produces $10k–$40k in recovered revenue for our roofing clients.

The order matters.

If you can only do one thing this month, fix speed-to-lead. If you can do two, add reactivation. Everything else compounds on top of those two foundations.
